To innovate is to "make changes in something established by introducing new methods, ideas, or products"

Health Innovation Education Clusters (HIECs) are collaborative partnerships between NHS organisations, academia and industry. The aim is to transform healthcare and drive up quality in order to continually improve patient care, safety, outcomes and experience.

The enablers for this include embracing and disseminating innovative research, products and practices, as well as supporting high quality health education and training to enhance and develop workforce skills.
