The government has announced £4 million of funding for businesses to develop cutting-edge ideas to address some of the biggest health problems of our time.
The HIEC North East Funding Call is now closed.
Please note, the application process will be under continuous review and guidance will be published on the website.
The guidelines below will set out the process for accessing support for projects by HIEC North East.
- All applications to the fund must have widespread potential for adoption and diffusion across the North East region;
- Applicants must be based within the North East region;
- HIEC North East will oversee the assessment, approval and monitoring of all applications;
- HIEC North East will not be responsible for funding long term costs of a service;
- Successful applicants will have contractual obligations to proactively share their learning and promote the adoption and diffusion of their project across the North East region; and
- Applicants must secure support from their employing organisation.
Short listed applicants will be asked to attend an interview with the HIEC NE judging panel to present (15 minutes) and discuss their project in further detail.
Successful applicants will be notified by HIEC North East. Feedback relating to unsuccessful applications will be available from HIEC North East after 3rd May 2011 by written request.
