In response to the recent announcement by the Department of Health to create 'Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs)', the North East and North Cumbria have submitted an application to become an AHSN.
What We Do
HIEC NE will be supporting specific projects spanning four core themes: Innovative Education, Innovative Technology, Innovative Service Delivery Solutions and NHS North East Contractual Commitments, as illustrated in the Figure below.
Phase 1 includes the first projects selected in 2010 when HIEC NE was launched.
Phase 2 projects span the breadth of the HIEC NE agenda and includes the successful projects awarded funding in the 2011 funding call.
